Popes in the Middle Ages

The popes in the Middle Ages were highly influential. John Paul held the office and achieved the most as the pope. He's actually the third longest to be in the office. They were the head of the church. Popes had great amount of power to impact a king's life. If a person disagree with the church the pope had the right to excommunicate them. Which means they had the power to cut them from the church and could not attend church anymore and they would go straight to the opposite of heaven.


Kings in the Middle Ages

Kings in the Middle Ages were very important They were important because they were the ones who were in charge of their castles/land. The kings had power over the people, and the peasants had to work for the if he told them to do  something fr him, such as do his farming. Kings had the power to approve or disapprove the bishops that the pope had chosen.
