The Hundred Years War
The Hundred Years War was a long conflict between England and France. This war lasted a hundred years, as you can tell from the name of the war. There was a girl, Joan of Arc, who rallied the French troops. She helped the French out with a lot of things. After the war was over, the government had changed in France and England. In England, power grew because the king neededd Parliaments approval to raise money and pay for the cost of the war. For France, the king's power grew because of the things he did in the war.
